Student
Services
 |
Throughout the academic year, Academic Technologies provides a variety of services aimed at assisting
students as they use technology to achieve their academic goals. |
-
Blackboard Online Instruction
- Blackboard is a Web-based
course-management system designed to allow students and faculty to
participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and
activities to complement face-to-face teaching. Blackboard enables
instructors to provide students with course materials, discussion
boards, virtual chat, online quizzes, an academic resource center, and
more.
-
- Becoming a Student Technology Assistant
- The Student Technology Assistant program provides an excellent
opportunity for students with interests and skills in computers,
Internet tools, and multimedia authoring software to enhance their
knowledge and experience with additional training and hands-on work on
projects. All Student Technology Assistants receive paid training in
using various digital-media software and associated equipment, and are
paid to work part-time at Academic Technologies supporting faculty and
staff on a variety of technology-related projects.
-
- Online Testing Center
- The center is a free service
provided to students by Academic Technologies. We offer course
testing for Blackboard users as well as some other specialized
tests. Our goal is to provide computer based testing in a proctored
environment.
-
Orientation to Online Learning
- This site has been developed primarily to
provide an orientation to e-learning for Boise State students enrolled
in courses using Blackboard, whether in an online distance course or as
an adjunct to face-to-face teaching. In addition, the site provides
information for students considering enrolling in a Blackboard-enhanced
course, as well as technical support for students currently enrolled in
Blackboard-enhanced courses.

Introduction to E-Learning
- This online course enables students to develop skills and
knowledge necessary for success in Web-enhanced courses. You can take
a non-credit, self-study version of the course or take a 1-credit,
instructor-assisted version. To preview or participate in the
NON-CREDIT course, click the link above and then on PREVIEW on the
