Welcome to the BSU Online Database of Technology-Enhanced Classrooms. Academic Technologies maintains this database primarily as a service to faculty, to enable them to remotely tour classrooms, identify the types of technology tools available in particular classrooms, and request enhancements to these and other classrooms on campus. In addition, the database serves as a planning tool for upgrades, maintenance, and installation of equipment. What's in the Database Each database entry consists of a description and photos of a classroom and its installed equipment, as well as notes about special features and uses. The database contains entries for all classrooms on campus that have been enhanced with technology, including many classrooms that have a minimal amount of technological enhancement. Specifically, the database lists classrooms that contain--at a minimum--a network connection, an overhead projector, a VCR/TV, or some combination of the three. Classrooms that lack this minimum equipment are not listed in the database. (If you wish to have equipment delivered to a classroom, call extension 3286, e-mail Wendy Downs at wdowns@boisestate.edu or stop by the Academic Technologies Service Desk in the front lobby.) The Levels of Technology Enhancement Depending on the equipment it contains, each classroom in the database has been assigned to one of four levels (Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3). Each level is defined in the following table. NOTE: Level 0 classrooms may contain only some of the equipment listed.
Curious about the classroom you've just been assigned? Preview it by selecting the appropriate building in the drop-down menu at the top of the page, then searching on ALL technology levels and ALL types of technology. A list of technology-enhanced classrooms will appear in the left-hand frame; clicking on your classroom will take you to its description, including photos of seating, equipment, and special features. Looking for a particular type of technology? Select the technology from the drop-down menu above, then search on a particular building, all buildings, or all levels. Again, a list of classrooms will appear in the left-hand frame, with each classroom equipped with the technology you're looking for. Comments, Suggestions, and Requests Have a comment, suggestion, or complaint about a technology-enhanced classroom? Use our feedback form to send a message to the staff at Academic Technologies. Want to request modifications to a classroom or request increased priority for a scheduled installation? Fill out our online request form. Need equipment delivered to a classroom? Call extension 3286, e-mail Wendy Downs (wdowns@boisestate.edu) or stop by the AT Service Desk in the front lobby.
