It appears that the log rotation script on the Blackboard web application servers quit executing properly. This caused at least one of the log files to grow to an unhealthy size which we believe directly impacted server performance. The script was manually executed and the offending log file manually deleted. After that, Blackboard services were restarted and system performance appears to have returned to normal levels.
