Software Training for Digital-Media Projects

If you are an instructor who is giving a digital media assignment, or if you are a student who has a media project to do, and you would like to request a workshop, please call Natalie Salvatore at 426-1844, or Studio D at 426-5447.

When you call to register for a workshop, be sure to specify which workshop and which date.

Workshop Descriptions

FrontPage for Web Design

The FrontPage workshop covers the basics of web-page creation, including formatting of text and graphics and inserting hyperlinks, images, and tables.

PowerPoint Basics and Beyond

The PowerPoint workshop covers working with design templates, creating custom backgrounds, importing photos, working with text, and adding animation.

Digital Video

The digital video workshop introduces participants to iMovie,  Windows Movie Maker, or Premiere Elements. Students will learn how to import video footage, add titles and transitions, and incorporate voice-over narration into their movies. The basics of exporting movies for CD, the Internet, or DVD is also covered.

Photo Story

The Photo Story workshop introduces students to Microsoft's easy to use program for creating digital photostories. Students will learn how to add narration, background music, transition effects to their digital stories, and how to export their final creation as a movie file.
