| Description: | How do we create courses that will provide significant learning experiences for students? Dee Fink, author of Creating Significant Learning Experiences, asserts that instructors need to shift instruction from a content-centered approach to a learning-centered approach based on six taxa: knowledge, application, integration, human dimension, caring, and learning how to learn. This conversation will provide an overview of Fink’s taxonomy of significant learning and describe how it can be used as a framework to design courses that engage students in their own learning and produce meaningful results in the students’ lives. |
