Request Blackboard Course Sites Table of Contents

Blackboard course sites must be requested each semester via Broncoweb

  1. Log in to your Broncoweb account (http://broncoweb.boisestate.edu).
  2. Click "Faculty/Staff/Advisors"
  3. Click "Blackboard Course Site Requests"
  4. Please visit, Blackboard Course Site Requests for complete instructions on requesting course sites.

Faculty may only request sites for classes they are assigned to teach in PeopleSoft. Once the request is submitted, a new course site will be created on the next Blackboard update (9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm & 9pm).

Copying Content Table of Contents

Blackboard course sites are created as blank shells.  Content from a previous semester's course site can be copied into the new course site if appropriate.  Please visit, Blackboard Course Site Requests for complete instructions on copying content.

Student Management Table of Contents

Sites for academic courses are automatically enrolled when created.  Enrollments, including drops, are updated in Blackboard every three hours from 9 AM to 9 PM. If it is necessary to add access for a Teaching Assistant or other such user, send a request by email to blackboard@boisestate.edu with the user’s Broncweb username or BSU email address and course site they need to be enrolled in.

Course Availability Table of Contents

By default, course sites are created as "unavailable" (not visible) to students. When faculty are ready for students to access the course site, set it to "available" by:

  1. Going to the course site Control Panel
  2. Click on Settings under Course Options
  3. Click on Course Availability
  4. Select Yes
  5. Click Submit
