Workshop Goals

Workshop participants will learn to use the features available in the Test and Survey Managers (the tools for creating tests and surveys) and the Pool Manager, the area where instructors can house standard questions to be used and reused. Topics covered include:

• Building a Question Pool
• Adding Questions to a Pool - Overview of each of the 17 Question Types
• Importing and Exporting a Question Pool
• Building a Test or Survey using the Test Canvas
• Using Question Pools and/or existing Tests to Create Tests
• Setting Test Options
• Saving a Test
• Deploying a Test
• Modifying a Test
• Creating an Announcement – An announcement is mandatory if the test will be given in the Academic Technologies Online Testing Center
• Using Blackboard’s Pool Import
• Using the Boise State Blackboard Test/Survey Generator
